Speaking about their motivation, one of the explorers disclosed: “We are explorers and we are doing this for fun. We read about people driving from Europe to Ghana all the time, and we also planned to do it”.

Preparations They Made For the Big Adventure

Before embarking on their transcontinental journey, the team carried out a feasibility test drive to Togo.

This served as a vital step in their planning process, allowing them to understand routes, road conditions, and border crossings.

The team’s convoy consisted of various vehicles, including Ford Raptors, Toyota Land Cruisers, a Nissan Patrol, a Lexus RX350, and a Ford Ranger.
