Become a Tales Of Africa Reporter

Tales Of Africa is a Pan-African platform that seeks to create a unique medium of communication where African stories and perspective matter. Tales of Africa also has a podcast that allows Africans with unique stories to tell their story. As custodians of the African narrative and culture, we owe it to ourselves to project positive African values and appropriately tell the African story from our perspective which is often bereft in western media.
We are looking for aspiring young leaders or talented writers who will serve as Tales Of Africa Reporters by contributing articles and homemade videos about happenings in their country on a voluntary basis.
Successful applicants will be expected to submit at minimum one article (600 – 800 words) or videos that are under five minutes per month over the one-year period of their voluntary engagement. Articles or videos could be on national or Pan-African politics, culture, history, or business. (Articles should be sent as pdf attachments).
Aside from the mandatory minimum monthly articles and videos, reporters (volunteers) shall report breaking or trending news in their home countries that border on any of the above-listed areas of interest to Tales of Africa.
The editorial team will check for plagiarism and accuracy, and also makes sure that contributions are not in any way libellous, after which the article shall be published on the Tales Of Africa website whiles videos will be uploaded on the Tales Of Africa Youtube channel. Articles published will be credited to the authors.
Eligibility
Must be an African national between the ages of 18 – 35 years
Must have a strong sense of Pan-Africanism
Must have at least two (2) years of writing experience
Must be able to contribute at least one original write-up /video per month

Interested persons should send a 500-word essay to info@talesofafrica.org telling us about your African dream. (Also include at least two links to some of your work)
